Starrin Kinser-Petersen

Starrin is thrilled to return to Park West Co-op in this new capacity, bringing full circle a journey that began here over a decade ago as a parent to three children. What started as enrolling her first child at Park West evolved into seven years of deep engagement with the school community. Starrin served on the Board of Directors, leading as President, VP and Admission Co-Chair and guided the school through both everyday growth and unprecedented challenges, including our collective navigation of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Most recently, Starrin served as Director of Marketing and Events at Baker Demonstration School, where she led comprehensive marketing strategies and fundraising through the Integrative Advancement Team. She also worked as Program Manager at Neighborhood Parents Network, building partnerships across Chicago-area schools and creating programming to support families navigating educational choices. Her commitment to youth development extends beyond the classroom as was a long time youth basketball coach in Chicago.
With expertise spanning digital marketing, strategic communications, budget management, and community engagement, Starrin brings both professional skills and genuine understanding of what makes Park West special. She is also excited to offer support in the office, working with Nada and the Directors at Park West.
In her spare time, Starrin enjoys exploring and experiencing our great city of Chicago with her three Park West Grads and Husband. On any given weekend, they can often be found on the sideline of some sport or as audience members in a theater.
