parents day 2025-2026
Parents’ Day is a special tradition here at Park West. It is an opportunity for all children to spend time in the classroom together with their parent, grandparent, special person or caregiver.
When your child and their VIP adult arrive at school, they will be invited to play in the classroom, sing songs and share a snack together. At Park West, children understand that school is their place; it is a place where they have autonomy, where they know what to do and what to expect. We encourage you, or whoever attends school with your child, to focus on the interests of your child. Use this time to let them be your guide and relish in the pride they feel in all they know about how to be at school. Thank you for taking the time to participate in this Park West tradition.

A note about platemaking: Platemaking is another beloved Park West tradition. Children are given a template (a piece of paper with a circle on it) and invited to write or draw on it however they wish. These drawings are then sent off to be printed onto plates, bowls or platters. So many children adore their Park West plates and bowls and take pride in using them at home. Long-time families may have entire sets of plates and bowls at their houses by now! It really is a fun tradition. Template, pricing and order forms are available here and will be available in the classroom after Parents Day. We will have someone stationed in each room at the end of Parents’ Days to collect order forms and take electronic payment.
If your child or any siblings would like to create their artwork at home rather than at the end of Parents’ Day, you may take home a copy of the template and order form from your classroom or you can print them here. Any templates and order forms completed at home will need to be delivered to school no later than Wednesday, March 4th.
