Amanda Speck

4-Day AM, Junior Kindergarten Teacher

There are many things I love about being a teacher at Park West. From seeing the wonder a child has when something that has been puzzling her or him clicks, to having the freedom in curriculum planning that allows each team to meet each child where they are developmentally — there's no shortage of exciting challenges and opportunities to make a real impact. But, the thing I love most is just how warm and caring our community is. I've spent much of my life in the Park West community — being the daughter of Anita, a former student, and staff member for years now — and the connection you get from such dedicated individuals and families is visceral. The commitment and thoughtfulness of my mentors and colleagues really resonates with me. The kind of collaboration and communication we ask of children in the classroom is what we strive for with each other. I think this is unique. I am, and always have been, honored to be part of the Park West team.

Quotes from Our Park West Family

"Their activities promote language, social, and math skills, but are truly play-based, so the kids love it."
