Non-Discrimination Policy
PWCNS admits students regardless of race,
gender, religion, disability or ethnic origin. It does not
discriminate in the administration of its admissions or educational
policies, financial assistance or other programs. Park
West will compile and provide program information to families in a
language the family can understand.
Priority Status
Children who are currently enrolled in Park West (excluding the Parent/Toddler program) and eligible to return to school are given priority admissions status. Once current students are admitted, priority status is then conferred on siblings of present or former Park West children who will be eligible for school the following year.
The Admissions Lottery
All new applicants to Park
West are selected on a lottery basis to fill the spots remaining
after the priority students have been admitted. The lottery is usually held
in March. Names are
drawn one by one, class-by-class until a class is
filled. We continue
drawing names until every name has been drawn and these names are
then placed on a waiting list.
The classrooms are generally divided equally between boys and
girls and separate waitlists are maintained for each gender. Those waitlists remain
active in case a vacancy arises.
Multiples Policy
When a family has twins or triplets, etc., the following policies will apply:
1. Each child must submit an application and fee
2. Each applicant is entitled to one draw in the lottery
